Holy Face Chaplet

Our Goal
Our goal is to create an army of 300 people in Fort Collins, who pray the Holy Face Chaplet every day for specific needs. (I would love to have it grow to 1,000 in the future!) Can you make a four-year commitment?
The Holy Face Chaplet takes only 5 minutes to pray. You will receive a future email with a diagram regarding how to pray this prayer and its history. The main prayer used in the Chaplet is taken from Sacred Scripture: Arise, O Lord, and let Thy enemies be scattered, and let all that hate Thee flee from before Thy Face. (Think about how powerful this line is. See Psalm 68:1 and Numbers 10:35. This line is prayed a total of 33 times. We will provide you a Chaplet if you need one. Even non-Catholics would be interested in this prayer.
To register for the HFA, please email Kelly Krapes at kjfarmsco@outlook.com. She will create a list of your first and last name with your email address. We are doing this (1) in order to count how many people are on the team, (2) to be able to email everyone if an urgent prayer request arises, and (3) for Fr. Michael to offer Masses for you by name.
Initial thoughts regarding prayer intentions:
-December 1-31, 2024. First prayer intention of the Holy Face Chaplet: For evil politicians of Colorado and all who voted ‘yes’ for Amendment 79: 1) for their conversion; that God will sear their consciences so that they realize the evil they are doing and have done; 2) that they will fight each other in such a way that their evil works are “killed.”
-Then, starting in January, we will choose something to pray for most days of the week, but leaving certain days open for you to decide. For example, on Mondays, we might pray against all attacks against our schools in Fort Collins and Windsor, especially St. Joseph, St. John Paul II (Windsor), Liberty, and Ridgeview. On Tuesdays, we would continue to pray for the December intention. On Wednesdays, you choose. Etc.
àFr. Michael will be praying about the intentions and working out the final intentions before December 1.
Notice the power of the following Scripture passages. If we trust in God and His love and power and the promises in His word, our prayers will be more powerful. Our faith is not in ourselves; it is in God!
1 Maccabees 3:13-22
13 Now when Seron, the commander of the Syrian army, heard that Judas had gathered a large company, including a body of faithful men who stayed with him and went out to battle, 14 he said, “I will make a name for myself and win honor in the kingdom. I will make war on Judas and his companions, who scorn the king’s command.” 15 And again a strong army of ungodly men went up with him to help him, to take vengeance on the sons of Israel.
16 When he approached the ascent of Beth-hor′on, Judas went out to meet him with a small company. 17 But when they saw the army coming to meet them, they said to Judas, “How can we, few as we are, fight against so great and strong a multitude? And we are faint, for we have eaten nothing today.” 18 Judas replied, “It is easy for many to be hemmed in by few, for in the sight of Heaven there is no difference between saving by many or by few. 19 It is not on the size of the army that victory in battle depends, but strength comes from Heaven. 20 They come against us in great pride and lawlessness to destroy us and our wives and our children, and to despoil us; 21 but we fight for our lives and our laws. 22 He himself will crush them before us; as for you, do not be afraid of them.”
Leviticus 26:3-8
3 “If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, 4 then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. 5 And your threshing shall last to the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last to the time for sowing; and you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land securely. 6 And I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; and I will remove evil beasts from the land, and the sword shall not go through your land. 7 And you shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. 8 Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand; and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
Judges 6-8 Summary
The Midianites were oppressing Israel. The Midianites were a nomadic Arabic tribe that were known for causing havoc on other tribes, especially the Israelites. God chose Gideon to defeat the oppressors. Gideon rounded up 32,000 men to fight. The Lord had Gideon test the men. 22,000 quit before the big battle (Jdgs 7:2-3). The Lord had Gideon test the remaining 10,000, and Gideon eliminated another 9,700 men. So Gideon’s army was down to 300 (Jdgs 7:4-7). The Lord was doing this so that Gideon’s army could not claim that they won by their own power.
On the day of the big battle, after Gideon’s men blew 300 trumpets, God caused the Midianites to fight each other, and many were killed by their own countrymen! (Judges 7:19-23). At least 120,000 were killed.
Mark 11:22-24
22 And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. 23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have receivedit, and it will be yours.
